In a nod to the City of Tampa, this mural is inspired by the 102-year-old letters found during construction of the Water Street Tampa neighborhood. The letters survived underground sealed in a glass mason jar before they were unearthed during the development of Water Street Tampa. The letters belonged to the captain of a famous scientific research vessel, the steamer Gopher.
