A Tribute to Tampa’s Jazz History
This first performance of The Space Between series pays tribute to the legacy of Black music across the decades, honoring the rhythms and stories that make Tampa’s jazz heritage so extraordinary.
BK Jackson
Bernard “BK” Jackson is a Tampa-born saxophonist known for his energetic performances and unique style. He has shared stages with icons like Bruno Mars, Chaka Khan, Usher, and toured with Prince for four years. BK has also performed with Ceelo Green and now plays with Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue and Anita Baker.
Bianca Fitzpatrick
Bianca Fitzpatrick is the lead singer and songwriter for We Are Root Mod, a soul, funk, and R&B collective from St. Louis. Known for her soulful, bluesy vocal style, Bianca captivates audiences with her emotional depth and artistry. Her talent shines on the band’s debut album, This That N’ The Third, where her evocative lyrics and distinctive voice take center stage. Inspired by St. Louis’s rich musical heritage, Bianca continues to push the boundaries of contemporary R&B and funk with passion and authenticity.
